Over the past few years our SAS garden has changed locations and cycled through lots of care and tending to not so much! But we were blessed in the last year to receive a Kokua Foundation School Project Grant and it has allowed us to up our garden game! This however has not been our only blessings we were fortunate enough to have a portion of the Foodland Give Aloha Matching Gift bestowed on our garden budget. Due to these two grants, we have been able to build 3 more garden boxes and obtain supplies like soil, lumber, seeds, gardening tools, etc. Students have also earn funds for the garden by helping collect our school campus recyclables each Friday. All of these blessing have turned out garden from Barren to burgeoning! Check out the images below:
